Who is responsible for your information?
ArkeoMalta is responsible for personal information collected through arkeomalta.com. The website supports archaeological consultancy and project enquiries in Malta and Gozo.
We limit collection to information needed to operate the website, secure the enquiry form, understand website performance where permission is given, and respond to people who contact us.
Project enquiries and documents.
When you use the project-enquiry form, we receive the contact and project information you enter, together with any documents you choose to attach. The form also records security and consent information needed to protect the service and maintain an appropriate enquiry record.
Why we use it
- To review and respond to your enquiry.
- To take steps you request before a possible service engagement.
- To coordinate follow-up communication about the project.
- To protect the form, website and private document storage from abuse.
- To keep records where reasonably necessary for legal, security or business administration purposes.
Enquiry information is not sold. Access is limited to people and service providers who need it for the purposes above. Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the enquiry, any resulting engagement, applicable legal requirements and the resolution of potential disputes.
Google reCAPTCHA spam protection.
The enquiry form uses Google reCAPTCHA to identify automated abuse. It is treated as a form-security measure and is loaded only when you begin using the enquiry form, rather than automatically when the homepage opens.
Google may process technical information and use cookies or similar storage when reCAPTCHA loads. Its processing is governed by the Google Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Your data-protection rights.
Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access to your personal information, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to certain processing. Where processing depends on consent, you may withdraw that consent without affecting processing carried out beforehand.
You may also lodge a complaint with Malta’s Information and Data Protection Commissioner. We encourage you to contact ArkeoMalta first so that we can try to resolve the matter promptly.
